2017 Christmas Parade

Join us for our 44th Annual Callahan Christmas Parade.  Our members enthusiastically participated in selecting our 2017 theme.  We really wanted to host a theme that hasn’t been used in years past.  After careful consideration, “A Florida Christmas” was chosen.  I don’t know about you, but I can completely visualize pink flamingos running through the middle of Callahan in Santa hats. 🙂

Both, the Parade and Arts & Craft Fair are taking place on Saturday, December 2nd. The Craft Fair will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. which gives you plenty of time to get some Christmas shopping in before and after the parade. If you’ve not attended our parade before, I definitely suggest arriving early to secure a great parade viewing and parking spot.

There’s limited vendor spaces remaining for the Arts & Crafts fair and Parade spots are reserving quickly.  I definitely suggest not waiting until the registration deadline, November 17th, to reserve your vendor space or to secure a spot in the parade.  Both are on a first come, first serve basis whether or not you have participated in the past.

This is my first Christmas with the GNCCC and I’m completely ecstatic about having the opportunity to plan the entire Callahan Christmas Parade.  All these years I had no idea the Greater Nassau Chamber of Commerce actually hosts and puts on the parade.  This is going to be so fun!

We are in need of sponsors and volunteers for the Craft Fair and the Parade.  Ask me how you can help support your local Chamber of Commerce and keep the parade flourishing each year.

Below is the cost to participate in either event:

Arts & Craft Fair Vendor $55

Parade Float/Vehicle/Boat $45

Horse/Bicycle $5 per person

Callahan’s Christmas Parade ushers in the holiday season with floats, festive decorations and plenty of fun. Lots of local organizations and individuals participate in this event. Holiday season decorations adorn the entries, from floats to marching bands to antique cars and horses and carriages. Even Santa joins in the spectacle, as visitors and locals alike come down to watch the procession.

The parade begins at the West Nassau Historical Society by the Train Depot and proceeds south through downtown and then finishes at Thompson Mall across from the Wells Fargo building.  Spectators can view the parade from streets of Callahan on US Highway 1.  After the parade, everyone is welcome to stop by the Arts & Craft Fair at Thompson Mall where the parade ends.
